ENVIRONMENTAL GREENING AND WATER PROTECTION
As Timorese everyone has the obligation to protect the environment to sustain the future based on the Constitution of the Republic Democratic of Timor-Leste article 61. For this reason, the students’ senate of Instituto Católico Para a Fromação de Professores (ICFP) Baucau established the program “Environmental Greening and Water Protection”. Related to this program realized an activity of “planting trees” in Bela Vista, Builai Village, Suku Buibau Postu Administrativu Baucau Vila was implemented.
Through the collaboration of the leader of territorial delegation of forest, plants and industry in the municipality of Baucau, Mr. Pascoal Afonso Belo, leader of Builai village Mr. Armindo Sequeria Ornai, from Buibau, Director of EBC Uailili Sr. Domingos Fraga, the students’senate team and local community, this activity was well organized and completed on 18 of March 2023.
The leader of territorial delegation of forest, plants and industry in the municipality of Baucau, Mr. Pascoal Afonso Belo, provided four hundred small trees (400), consisting of Toona Sinensis Trees, Swietenia mahagoni, Jackfruit and Cashew. From the number of trees, student’s consulate, the president and vice president of alumni and some alumni of ICFP and current students, Staff, Mr. Rigoberto da Silva Freitas as technic from ministry of agriculture Baucau, Leader of Village, students of branch primary school Bela Vista and the teacher were planted those trees in the place as bellow:

This activity went well because of all the contribution of the people that are mentioned above and the financial support from the Institute to rent the trucks to pick up the students, water and other snacks which were supplied.
