ORIENTATION OF THE THIRD DAY AT ICFP BAUCAU
The orientation of the third day at the Catholic Institute for Teacher Training (ICFP) in Baucau was an event that included various activities, focusing on preparing and motivating students for the new academic year.
The activities on the third day were as follows:
1. Opening prayer, led by Ms. Elvina and Ms. Agata.
2. Welcome message by the Director of ICFP, Brother Paul, on the theme of commitment to learning at ICFP.
3. Introduction of the identity of the student trainees.
4. A lecture on the theme “Teachers in Timor-Leste: Being a Teacher in the 21st Century”, presented by Ms. Juvinalia.
5. A lecture on the theme “It Is Time to Contribute to Quality Education in Timor-Leste”, delivered by a speaker from the Directorate of the Ministry of Education of the Municipality of Baucau.
6. Internship and pedagogical practice program, according to the pedagogy of Saint Marcellin Champagnat.
7. Visit to important locations within ICFP.
8. Collective recitation of the Rosary.
9. Presentations on:
o How to use the ICFP Manual (Handbook)
o Understanding the ICFP Academic Calendar
o Understanding the timetable and how to manage time effectively during learning
10. Introduction to the role of the Senate:
o Child protection, based on the ICFP Internal Regulations.
11. Presentation on the use of Information Technology (IT) at ICFP.
o Orientation session on access to and use of the ICFP Library.
This activity aimed to promote mutual understanding among students and strengthen bonds of friendship.
12. Opening Mass of the 2026 Academic Year.
The program ended with a closing message from Ms. Paula, followed by a final prayer and farewell.
