TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM

Week two– Day Two Teachers of the Catholic Institute for Teacher Training (ICFP) Baucau continue their training on STRENGTHENING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND LEADERSHIP IN THE AREA OF CONCENTRATION: TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM
This training is conducted through cooperation between teachers of the Catholic Institute for Teacher Training (ICFP) Baucau and Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU)
The title of the second session was Measuring What Matters: Fundamentals of Quantitative Research Methods
Quantitative research is an empirical research that forms a number, in the collection of data, instruments that have been determined and usually involves a large number of individuals and data that are statistically analysed.
Quantitative research is a research approach that seeks to quantify data and generalize results from a sample to a larger population. It relies on structured data collection methods and the use of statistical analysis to interpret the results. This type of research is objective, and findings are typically presented in numerical form, allowing for comparison and generalization.
Key Features of Quantitative Research:
Objective: Focus on numbers and measurable variables rather than subjective opinions.
Structured: Use well-defined research questions, hypotheses, and data collection methods.
Statistics: Uses statistical tools to analyse data and validate findings.
Replicable: repeat the study to verify the results and add Key Features of Quantitative Research
